Tom is a highly skilled solicitor with a wealth of experience in banking, litigation, and property transactions. Tom is adept at handling complex company law matters, with a particular focus on group reorganizations. Additionally, he is well-versed in advising on investment projects, representing both corporate entities and private investors.

Tom holds a BCL (Hons) from University College Cork and a Diploma in Finance Law from the Law Society of Ireland. His exceptional talents were acknowledged when he was named the Early Career KBC Young Lawyer of the Year in 2019.

Joe was entered onto the roll of solicitors in 1983 and worked in a number of practices around the country before setting up Joseph Nolan & Co in 1989 as a sole practitioner.

He has practiced primarily in the areas of Conveyancing, Litigation, Family Law and Probate. Joe has always had a great relationship with clients and many of whom would still return to the firm years later.

Evelyn O'Donnell
Evelyn O'DonnellSolicitor

Evelyn holds a Masters of Law Degree, Diploma in Finance, Diploma in Pensions, Diploma in Trust & Estate Planning, Certificate in Legal Studies, is full member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners and a Registered Trust & Estate Practitioner.

Evelyn’s main areas of practice are Conveyancing and Probate. She has extensive experience in all aspects of property transactions such as sales, purchases, mortgages and leases of residential property, agricultural property and commercial properties. She has a keen interest and specialises in the area of Wills and Probate, in particular estate planning & taxation, wills, estate administration and all associated matters.

Michael O'Reilly
Michael O'ReillySolicitor

Michael’s legal career is rooted in his comprehensive training at a large Cork-city law firm, where he first developed his legal skills.  This foundational experience in one of Ireland’s legal capitals provided him with a deep understanding of the law and a strong skill set. Following his time in Cork, Michael expanded his legal skills by working in both Dublin and Waterford before returning to his hometown of Clonmel.

Michael graduated from University College Cork in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in law. Michael is also a graduate of The University of Limerick where he completed his master’s degree in law in 2009.  In addition to Michael’s legal education, Michael also has a master’s in business and a certification in Aviation Leasing.

Michael is involved with all matters of Personal Injury Litigation, including road traffic accidents, workplace accidents and accidents in the public sphere.

Michael is very knowledgeable in all areas of Family Law, including District Court applications, maintenance, domestic violence orders, access, Circuit Court Judicial Separation and Divorce.

Michael also deals with Employment Law matters and acts for both the employer and the employee.

Furthermore, Michael also acts in cases involving medical negligence. Again, this is a specialised area and Michael has unique knowledge of such injuries.

Emily White
Emily WhiteSolicitor

Emily is a solicitor with Joseph Nolan & Co, and has worked with the company since 2018.

She has previously worked with the conveyancing team and is now working in Litigation and Family Lawhowever, she hopes to gain experience in all areas that the firm has to offer over the course of her traineeship. In her role as a trainee, Emily has worked on High Court injunction proceedings, Circuit and District Court personal injuries claims, assisted in the completion of various property transactions and also assisted with probate files.

She graduated from the University of Limerick in 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Law Plus (Irish) and subsequently a master’s degree in International Commercial Law.
She has a keen interest in rugby and played for Clonmel, Carrick on Suir and captained the UL University team in her time.

Noelette Fennessy
Noelette FennessyLegal Executive

Noelette has worked in the legal professional for the last 29 years. She attended Waterford Institute of Technology and holds a Certificate in Legal Studies & Diploma in Law.

Noelette gained experience initially in general practice especially conveyancing, litigation and probate before she then worked for a number of the big five legal firms namely A&L Goodbody and Matheson Orsmby Prentice as Legal Executive/Paralegal. Since her return to Clonmel she has worked for Joseph Nolan & Company for the last 19 years.

As a senior legal executive she is a professional and member of the Institute of Legal Executives of Ireland. With her accumulated experience and academic credentials she works under the supervision of the principal of the firm. She deals directly with clients running her own files from start to finish. She specialises in conveyancing and probate matters.

Noelette loves all sports especially Ladies Football and Camogie. She is an avid GAA fan and a very active member of her local GAA club. She is currently Child Welfare Officer for the camogie club.

Josephine Duggan
Josephine DugganLegal Executive

Josephine is a native of West Cork, joined Joseph Nolan & Co., Solicitors in 2017 as an experienced Legal Executive.  Josephine worked in a number of leading law firms in Cork and Dublin after graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors of Arts in Legal and Business from Waterford Institute of Technology.

Josephine specialises in the areas of residential conveyancing and probate within the firm.

With almost 20 years of experience, Josephine is very client focused and possesses strong attention to detail, managing files personally from beginning to end.  Throughout the years, Josephine’s experience involved acting for private clients in relation to the sale, purchase and letting of residential properties and acting for lending institutions.

As a mother of two young children, Josephine balances work with an active social life.  Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, reading, socialising with family and friends.

James McCormack
James McCormackTrainee Solicitor

James is a native of Thurles and is working with Joseph Nolan & Co. since 2021 as a trainee solicitor.

James graduated from the University of Limerick in 2017 with a degree in Law and Accounting. He has previously worked in larger firm in Dublin but recently returned to the South East to work with Joseph Nolan & Co.

He is currently gaining experience with the conveyancing team and will certainly work in all the areas of law the firm has to offer throughout his traineeship.
In his spare time he enjoys climbing, bouldering.

Carrie Davey
Carrie DaveyLegal Secretary

Carrie joined Joseph Nolan Solicitors in 2022. She has been an excellent addition to the firm. She has continued her studies in Griffith College Cork.
